Jordan Secter founded Secter Environmental Design in the spring of 2008 with the goal of providing landscape design and planning services that integrate the aesthetics, function and sustainability of sites and area ecology.

Jordan Secter

Over the last 12 years Mr. Secter has worked on variety of conservation based projects throughout the US and Canada Since 1995 he has work with organizations such as Lando and Associates Landscape Architecture, Forth Land Planning  Alta Planning and Design, the Rogue Institute for Ecology and Economy, US National Forest Service Star Ranger District and the Siuslaw Watershed Council.

Mr. Secter works with environmental planning firms, energy companies, transportation and health organizations, housing and urban/commercial infrastructure companies, and a range of federal, state and local governmental agencies, including:

  • Federal/International Government: Bureau of Land Management, USDA (Forest Service), National Parks, National Parks Rivers and Trails Conservation Assistance Program.
  • State/Local Government: Oregon State Parks, Greater Victoria Harbor Authority, City of Sandy (Oregon), Mount Hood Stewardship Council, City of Corvallis, Marin County, City of Tualatin
  • Private Sector: Jones & Stokes, Portland General Electric (PGE), International Mountain Bikers Association, Urban Innovations Group, Viridian Environmental Design, Land Current, Siuslaw Watershed Council, Mount Hood Stewardship Council, Western Forest Law Center


Education

Mr. Secter holds multiple degrees in the Environmental Planning/Design and Natural Resource-management fields, including:

  • Master of Landscape Architecture (University of Oregon)
  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (University of Oregon)
  • Bachelor of Arts in Community Development (The Evergreen State College)
  • Bachelor of Science in Ecology (The Evergreen State College)

He also completed professional training with the Bureau of Land Management – Visual Resources Assessment Training (Casper, Wyoming - May 2011)

 

Nate Otani

Nate Otani

Nate Otani is a professional in the field of andscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. Nate obtained his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon in 2009 with a focus in ecologically conscious community based sustainable design. Nate uses his strong design, graphic and composition skills to meld striking contemporary aesthetics with function and flexibility.

Mr. Otani's professional and academic training includes:

  • Bachelors of Landscape Architecture (University of Oregon)
  • Professional training in 3D graphics and Design Visualization 2011-2012 (Art Institute of Portland)

Charley Zheng

Charley Zheng

Charley Zheng is a recent Lewis & Clark College graduate with a strong background in copywriting and editing. Charley utilizes her knowledge of culture, social media, and technology to generate a successful and distinctive identity for Secter. In her personal time, she is constantly learning new subjects, taking photos, trying new restaurants, and running.
